Group HR Officer

Our client is a fast growing North East business, and as a result have created a new role for a Group HR Officer. The HR team are fantastic, work really well together and are very supportive. Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will:
- Provide practical advice and guidance to managers and employees in relation to policies and procedures
- Support mangers with formal and Informal proceedings including investigations, disciplinary’s, absence review, grievance hearings, capability including occupational health
- Carry out and review exit interviews, feeding back to Department Heads and collating feedback quarterly
- Support with Policy Development by developing, updating HR policies and procedures
- Support with Employee Engagement: Developing strategies to improve employee satisfaction and engagement
- Retention strategies – work with the Group HR Manager developing and implementing strategies to retain key employees and reduce turnover
Person Specification
- CIPD Qualified minimum Level 3
- Experience of managing Employee relations cases
- Experience of advising Line Managers on all aspects of HR
- Experience of policy and procedural advice in relation to formal and informal proceedings, investigations, disciplinary’s, absence management, grievance, capability and occupational health
- Experience of HR Administration processes and procedures
- Confident in working with stakeholders at all levels within the business
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Confidential, discreet and diplomatic approach
- Ability to work towards shared goals and objectives
- Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment
