Junior HR Business Partner
Worcester is central to both office locations (Ref 786) Permanent
£42k – £46.6k DOE + company car, hybrid ( 1-2 office days ) and half day Friday!
Our client is a successful manufacturing business, with a global presence and has continued to grow in recent years, and HR is highly respected and valued in the business.
You will support 2 sites, one in the West Midlands and one in Wales. Reporting to the Head of HR (who is fabulous), the Junior HRBP will have strong generalist experience, and is responsible for building relationships to support strategic business partnering, and delivering generalist support to the sites, helping to drive Best Practice and compliance with policies and procedures. The role provides first-line advice to Line Managers and employees, helping to manage performance, absence, recruitment, disciplinary, grievance and capability cases. Role scope also includes supporting projects that help drive the People Strategy for UK sites, policy development, and the continual improvement of people processes, working closely with the People Business Partner and the wider People Team.
Generalist HR responsibilities
- Providing specialist advice, coaching and development to managers across the employee life cycle including disciplinaries, complex ER casework and potential grievances
- Support managers to improve employee performance and recognise skills gaps
- Support mangers to ensure absence is managed effectively
- Be a trusted advisor and critical friend to senior managers
- Support recruitment efforts and ensure a strong, diverse pipeline of talent
- Support training and coaching programmes at site level, working in conjunction with the wider People Team
- Support recruitment activities, including compiling job descriptions, preparing contracts, and managing the offer process
- Coordinate and assist with the induction process for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the Company
- Assist in the delivery of recruitment and selection processes to ensure that high-quality candidates are recruited
Project Delivery
- Upskilling managers to ensure their understanding of HR Policies and Procedures
- Coach managers on performance and absence management, ensuring consistency
- Deliver HR workshops
- Support the delivery of a new HRIS
- Roll out a range of wellbeing initiatives
- Develop engagement initiatives, working to embed values and delivering a positive workspace culture.
Experience required
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and best practice
- Ability to build relationships and act as a trusted partner to business leaders
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyse data and use people analytics to drive decisions
