We are delighted to partner with our client as they continue to grow, who have ambitious plans, are values driven and with a deep sense of purpose.  The Director of People & Culture is pivotal, working with the CEO, COO and other senior leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy to drive the achievement of the wider strategic business objectives.

We are looking for an inspiring and highly credible leader, who brings significant experience in leading transformation programmes, developing and implementing people strategies and has a deep knowledge of culture and organisational development. You will be a confident changemaker, with a collaborative and informed approach.

What’s involved

  • Implement effective people business partnering across the business to support strategic planning, workforce management and development
  • Lead the people team, ensuring clear lines of accountability, effective line management, delivering high quality expert advice and support
  • Develop people management data and metrics and reporting systems
  • Develop and support the delivery of the Equality, Diversity, Inclusion Strategy
  • Ensure robust and effective recruitment processes to attract high calibre talent
  • Lead the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives and employee wellbeingincluding the design of staff surveys
  • Lead the implementation of the annual appraisal and pay review process
  • Support with salary benchmarking where needed and ensure consistency across all areas of the business
  • Develop a strong and positive working relationship with recognised Trade Unions and promote a culture of healthy employee relations
  • Support TUPE processes to include transfer both into and out of the business

Qualifications and experience needed

  • Level 7 CIPD
  • Experience working collaboratively with senior leaders in a complex business
  • Experience of developing and implementing comprehensive people strategies, including workforce and succession planning and effective talent management
  • A creative lateral thinker with the ability to recognise problems and use a solution focused approach to achieve positive outcomes
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation including TUPE
