HR Co-ordinator

up to £33k depending on experience + up to 8% bonus + excellent benefits. Hybrid (predominantly working from home)
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised HR Coordinator to join a fantastic People Team.
As the first point of contact for HR queries across the business, you will play a key role in supporting employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding through to HR administration, reporting, and employee support, you’ll help ensure our HR processes are efficient, compliant, and people-focused.
As HR Coordinator, you’ll support the smooth delivery of HR services by:
HR Administration
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Managing HR documentation, correspondence, and filing.
- Recording employee lifecycle changes including absence, contractual amendments, and other HR activities.
- Supporting payroll with accurate monthly information.
- Handling confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinating recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies and issuing offers and contracts.
- Managing pre-employment checks and right-to-work verification.
- Delivering engaging HR inductions for new starters.
- Ensuring recruitment processes are compliant and fully audited.
Employee Support
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR enquiries from employees and managers.
- Managing the HR inbox and providing timely, professional advice and guidance.
- Escalating complex employee relations matters where appropriate.
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.
Reporting & Compliance
- Producing regular HR reports and dashboards.
- Monitoring key HR metrics including absence, turnover, and recruitment activity.
- Maintaining data accuracy and integrity across HR systems.
- Supporting internal audits and compliance activities.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Assisting with HR projects focused on employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion.
- Supporting the implementation of new HR systems and process improvements.
Experiencce needed for this role:
Essential
- Previous experience in an HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, or HR support position.
- Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and HR processes.
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience providing first-line HR advice and guidance to employees and managers.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent HR qualification) and/or significant HR experience.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Desirable
- CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance, absence, or capability procedures.
- Experience working within a multi-site, operational, or regulated environment.
- Experience using HR systems such as BambooHR, Oracle, or similar.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter or recruitment sourcing tools.
- Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion best practice.
