The HR Officer is a generalist role, with a bias towards recruitment, and includes developing and supporting HR policies and procedures as well as improving the efficiency of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all recruitment on site, including managing the recruitment agency for shop floor labour
- Maintain all job description and personal specifications, working with hiring managers
- Review recruitment processes and making recommendations for improvements
- Support hiring managers during interviews
- With the support of the Admin team, ensure offer letters and contracts are issued
- Support onboarding, delivering new starter inductions
- Support all employee relations issues
- Update and review procedures, standard letters and forms to ensure compliance to new employment legislation
- Support with generating processes and ensuring these are kept up to date
- Manage and maintain time and attendance
- Proactively manage long term sickness and assist Supervisors and Managers with short term sickness
- Proactively manage the Occupational Health provision within the Company
- Assist with improving the efficiency of the department through streamlining processes
- Coaching Managers on HR related issues
- Support wellbeing and community initiatives
Experience needed
- Employee relations casework including supporting disciplinary and grievance casework
- Recruitment experience is essential
- CIPD level 5 or equivalent experience
- Ability to coach and support managers
