People Business Partner
CHESTERFIELD / WEST MIDLANDS (Ref 684) permanent
£50k – £60k doe + company car. Can be home based with travel to the UK sites
Our client has a global presence and has continued to grow in recent years. As a result, the People Business Partner is a newly created role, supporting the Head of People and leading a small team in the UK
This is a true Business Partner role, working with business leaders to align people strategies with business objectives, providing comprehensive support to the business including talent management, employee relations and reward. This role will also manage key people projects and initiatives, support the embedding of leadership development programmes and much more.
Flexibility to work remotely and travel to any site location as required Is a key part of the role and includes –
Strategic People Support and Business Collaboration
- Work closely with the Head of People to drive forward the people agenda, strategic projects and ER advisory services for Line Managers.
- Partner with business leaders to align business goals with the people strategy.
Talent Management and Development
- Lead talent development programs including succession planning, career development, and leadership capability building.
- Manage workforce planning and performance management processes to drive a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Support recruitment efforts and ensure a strong, diverse pipeline of talent.
Employee Relations
- Advise and coach Line Managers on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management cases.
People Operations and Data-Driven Insights
- Oversee and continuously improve people operational processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience..
- Utilise people data and analytics to track key people metrics and inform business decisions and prepare monthly people reports.
Rewards, Benefits, and Wellbeing
- Lead benefits and rewards initiatives, including supporting the annual salary review process.
- Implement health and wellbeing programs that support employees and align with business needs.
Team Leadership and Development
- Manage and develop the people team, provide opportunities for growth through documented development plans and mentorship.
- Deputise for the Head of People on strategic projects, including restructuring and performance management initiatives.
Experience required
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and best practice.
- Ability to build relationships and act as a trusted partner to business leaders.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.
- Excellent leadership and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse data and use people analytics to drive decisions.
