People Operations Manager

The People Operations Manager will ensure the delivery a comprehensive, high-quality HR service across the Group. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and effective HR processes, including benefits administration, HR systems management, and employee relations. Key responsibilities include –
People Operations management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the People Operations team, ensuring all HR processes are managed efficiently and effectively, including employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding), and the Workday system.
- Maintain all employee records and contractual paperwork.
Policies
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive set of HR policies and procedures that ensure compliance and strong employee experience.
- Maintain the company handbook.
Employee Relations
- In conjunction with the People Business Partners, provide support and guidance on employee relations issues.
HR systems and Data
- Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of Workday to ensure accurate employee data and reporting.
- Generate reports from Workday to support decision-making.
Process improvement
- Continuously review and improve HR operations, including automation of workflows, streamlining processes, and introducing best practices to increase efficiency.
Project management
- Lead and participate in HR-related projects, such as system implementations, benefits enhancements, organisational changes, and employee engagement initiatives.
Systems and Processes
- Continuously evaluate current systems and processes, implementing improvements and adopting new processes to drive high performance
- Vendor/supplier management
People Management
- Leading the People Operations team
- Identification of and taking action to address any performance issues, and training/development needs.
Experience needed to be fantastic in this role
- Proven experience in an HR Operations or HR Manager role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Workday or other HRIS systems, and strong understanding of HR systems and processes.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience in managing benefits administration.
- Team leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor team members.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in generating and presenting HR data and reports.
- CIPD qualification – desirable
