People & Culture Manager

TEESSIDE (Ref 669)  PERMANENT

up to £55k (potentially higher) + car or £6k car allowance, hybrid + PHI

On a local level, the People & Culture Manager is responsible for two sites, while being part of a global team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic plans and objectives, contributing significantly to the company roadmap on growth, employee engagement, wellbeing and belonging.

As a trusted adviser to the Leadership team, you will offer strategic guidance on all People & Culture elements, with focus areas being:

  • Organisational design
  • Talent management
  • Leadership development
  • Team coaching

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and role-modelling a culture that embraces respect, people development, caring, openness and fun in business
  • Working as part of the leadership team fostering an empowering workplace through effective performance management, feedback, coaching, and support
  • Maximising leadership capability
  • Underpinning the evolution of the employee engagement initiatives, including driving workplace health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Cultivating a learning culture

What we are looking for

  • A degree in human resources management and ideally minimum level 5 CIPD
  • Comprehensive experience in a People & Culture role at BP level in a commercial business
  • Experience in organisational and leadership development
  • Versatility in combining both strategic and hands-on tasks
