Knowing Me Knowing You – Transitioning in the Workplace

Thursday 18 November 9.30am – 11am

For our People & Leadership October Event, we are delighted to welcome Annie Leaver, Director of Corporate Service for The Royal Society of Edinburgh who will present ‘Knowing Me Knowing You – Transitioning in the Workplace’.

Annie is honoured to be joined by Katie Neeves, a renowned Trans Ambassador and speaker and we are very excited to welcome her to our networking group.

Annie is exceptionally passionate about LGBTQ+ rights, and in this session she will focus on gender non-conformity, highlighting some gruesome statistics, and as such prejudice and bias are a key feature of this presentation, as is the importance of establishing a standalone transitioning policy as part of your D&I strategy, if we are to be truly inclusive employers.

Katie Neeves has been a professional photographer and filmmaker for 34 years, but she came out publicly as being transgender after living for 48 years as a man. Katie formed Cool2BTrans to support and inspire other trans people and also to educate others on trans issues.

She uses humour to deliver trans awareness training in an entertaining way. Katie appears regularly in the media and she’s on both ITV’s and the BBC’s lists of experts.

If you would like to join us for the event, please get in touch.
