Our client is a fast growing engineering manufacturing business, and part of hugely successful global group. As a result of continued growth, the HR team is expanding with this newly created role of HR Officer.
Are you looking to take the next step from HR Assistant to HR Officer? This is a great role for someone with HR experience, looking for development. Reporting to the HR Manager, and working in a small team, your role will be varied and involves:
Generalist HR
- Provide practical advice and guidance to managers and employees in relation to HR policies and procedures
- Manage the Time and Attendance tracking, maintaining attendance records
- Maintain training schedules
- Managing email inbox for HR queries, holiday requests, sicknesses and advice
Recruitment
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes
- Support Department Heads/Managers ensuring feedback is provided to unsuccessful candidates
- Writing job descriptions, preparing interview questions
- Prepare job offer letters, and contracts of employment, and any variations to contracts during employment
- Oversee onboarding processes, including delivery of HR Induction alongside or in place of HR Manager
Experience Required
- CIPD Qualified minimum Level 3 or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in an HR Assistant role
- First line Employee Relations experience
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Confidential, discreet and diplomatic approach
- Demonstrate effective communication and good interpersonal skills
- IT literate
