HR Administrator

DARLINGTON  (Ref 760)  PERMANENT

£27,250 – £31,000 + excellent pension + 32 days holidays (+ banks)

We are once again partnering with our client, to build the HR team.  Working in a small HR team and reporting to the HR Director,

As HR Administrator, you will provide effective administrative support on a wide variety of people matters, such as recruitment, absence, employee relations and project support.

 

Key Accountabilities

Provide a full range of administrative support to the HR Team across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including:

  • recruitment and onboarding
  • payroll
  • absence management
  • employee relations
  • employment changes

Act as first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries to the HR Team, providing responses to routine queries and ensuring other queries are directed to the correct HR team member.

Work collaboratively with People team members to progress a range of key people projects, including providing administrative support on projects.

Enter and maintain accurate data into a range of people systems to ensure compliance with legislation, relevant policies and good practice.

Collate management data from various sources and produce a variety of reports which provide key people information.

Supporting the HR Advisors in a range of activities including recruitment administration, production of absence information and other key people data, attending meetings, where required, as notetaker.

Enter information into payroll system in a timely and accurate manner and support the finance team with any related queries.

 

Experience and Qualifications required:

  • CIPD Level 3 or above or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload
  • Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
  • Experience of using HR and Payroll systems
  • Basic knowledge / understanding of employment legislation and best practice
  • Experience of dealing with matters confidentially and sensitively with a sound knowledge of GDPR
  • Experience of communicating with managers and employees in person, via telephone and email
